My name is Hrishikesh Baskaran. I am an alumni of Tata Institute of Social Sciences and London School of Economics. I invite you to my world through this blog to share my view on how we can preserve history and heritage in the midst of rapid urbanisation. As an Erasmus Mundus Scholar from Uppsala University, Sweden, I learned Sustainable Economics and the relationship between sustainable development and conservation. I had the pleasure of working with UNESCO and the Indian State Government of Telangana to protect some of our country's greatest historic treasures. I am a Policy Expert and I have lived in 3 countries, traveled 26, and worked with National and International Governments. What keeps me awake at night is designing better cities for you and me, while saving mankind's most precious heritage to build sustainable communities. Join me as I take you along this journey as a Policy Maker and enthusiast.
